Our Days Events
Our days events will include free goose hunting for everyone who is selected to participate. We will goose hunt in the morning, take a break for a free lunch and goose hunt in the afternoon.
For More Information, Please Read the Following Requirements
Kids ages 13 to 14 will be required to have an adult hunting with them. Adults and kids can both goose hunt for free. Adults will have to sign a liability waiver form for themselves and the youth or youths hunting with them.
Kids ages 14 to 15 will be required to have an adult hunting with them. Adults and kids can both goose hunt for free. Adults will have to sign a liability waiver form for themselves and the youth or youths hunting with them.
Youth ages 16 to 18 do not have to have an adult hunting with them, although we would like to see them hunting with an adult, because our goal is to make this a family fun day, it’s not required. Adults and kids can both goose hunt for free. Adults will have to sign a liability waiver form for themselves and the youth hunting with them. If a youth aged 16 to 18 are hunting alone, without an adult, they will have to have their parents sign a liability waiver form for them in order to hunt.
License Requirements
Every hunter will have to have the required licenses and stamps needed for goose hunting. Depending on the age of the hunter, some licenses or stamps may not be required, but it’s your responsibility to make sure everyone has the required licenses and stamps for goose hunting. Please check with the MN DNR to make sure each hunter has the required licenses and stamps required for goose hunting.
Hip Certification
Everyone must have the HIP certification with their hunting license. Not to worry, it’s easy to get all you have to do is ask for it and make sure it’s added to your license, or you have the HIP certification license as an add-on to your regular license.
Shotguns and Ammo / No Lead Shot
Everyone will need to bring their own shotgun and ammo, no lead shot allowed. Steel shot or 1, BB, BBB or T. is a requirement for goose hunting. Please make sure you have steel shot, 1, BB, BBB or T. with you and no lead shot with or upon you. It’s a hefty fine if you have any lead shot, steel shot or other shot that the MN DNR allows is required. Please check with the MN DNR on shotgun shells they allow for goose hunting. It’s your responsibility to make sure you have the right ammo needed to goose hunt.
Plugs in Your Gun
Every Gun must have a plug installed in it, unless it holds less than 3 shots. You must not be able to put more than 3 shells in your gun at one time. Please make sure your plug is installed in your shotgun.
No Dogs
No dogs allowed. Sorry, please leave your dogs at home. Too many dogs in the field create chaos. We will be providing dogs if we feel it is needed.
Taking Your Geese Home
We will not be providing cleaning of geese. You will have to clean your own geese or take them home and clean them.
Heated Pit Blinds
Heated pit blinds will be provided for the goose hunt. Everyone will get to stay warm by hunting out of heated pit blinds.
Pre-Registration is Required
We are only going to register a certain number of participants for this event, there are limited spots available. To be considered for registration, please send us the information below. We will contact you with all the required documents and information for registration.
